We have received inquiries regarding the status of the settlement. The distribution of Settlement Benefits has not begun for this case and no emails or texts have been sent regarding payouts. Final Approval of the settlement was granted on June 29, 2023. On July 31, 2023, an objector to the Settlement represented by the Bandas Law Firm filed an appeal of the denial of an objection, which will significantly delay the payment of claims. Please check this page regularly for updates regarding the appeal and status of the distribution of Settlement Benefits.

Your Legal Rights and Options in This Settlement
File a claim for Out-of-Pocket Losses or Lost Time, or for an Alternative Cash Payment | You must submit a claim in order to receive reimbursement for Out-of Pocket Losses and/or Lost Time under the Settlement. File a claim For Identity Defense Services | You must submit a claim to receive the free Identity Defense Services offered under the Settlement. For more detailed information, see Question 9. | January 23, 2023 |
Access to Restoration Services | You may access Restoration Services after the Settlement becomes final, whether or not you make a claim under the Settlement. For more detailed information, see Question 10. | No deadline. Services will be available for 2 years. |
Exclude yourself from the Settlement | You can exclude yourself from the Settlement by informing the Settlement Administrator that you want to "opt-out" of the Settlement. If the Settlement becomes final, this is the only option that allows you to retain your rights to separately sue T-Mobile for claims related to the Data Breach. Object or comment on the Settlement | You may object to the Settlement by writing to explain to the Court why you don't think the Settlement should be approved. If you object, you will remain a Settlement Class Member, and if the Settlement is approved, you will be eligible for the benefits of the Settlement and give up your right to sue T-Mobile on certain claims described in the Settlement Agreement, which is available here. Do nothing | If you do nothing, you can still access Restoration Services after the Settlement is final, but will not be entitled to any other benefits provided under the Settlement.
